I don't know why some weeks are so difficult, even though this is a great colour combo I just found it really hard to get this one together. It may have had something to do with being in the middle of catering and throwing my eldest sons 21st birthday party but I did manage to get something done in the end.

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop #25

Its a colour rainbow this week and I really did have a lot of fun with it.

I used sponged daubers on shimmery white paper  this week to create a rainbow, then I cut it out with the largest Butterflies Thinlits Die . I love the effect that was created (not that you can see the subtle shimmer in this photo). Also, I don't know if it is cheating or not, but I used a couple of extra neutral colours for the picket fence.

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop #20

Welcome from Anna's blog.
This week is Sketch Challenge #10.

This is the first time that I have used this stamp set which is from the new Occasions Catalogue. I purchased the photopolymer set which makes it very easy to place the stamp exactly where you want it. There really are some lovely elements in this set. I love the delicate butterfly dies that come with the bundle, they are very feminine. I did a little bit of masking this week and I am happy with the effect that was produced to give a soft but vibrant background. I also used velum for my banner layer which is a little hard to see in the photo. This was used to soften the green fern stamp that is underneath.
