The Artful Stampers Blog Hop #82

Welcome from Leah ’s blog.
This week we have a Sketch Challenge.

This is what we had to work with:
This is what I came up with:

I needed a card for a house warming so dug out some retired products. I feel it a shame not using some of these products in so long, especially the ones that were previous Sale-a-bration items. I really loved the arrow punch and especially how the large arrow can be used as a little house. A few of the other products are now on the retiring list, like the burlap ribbon and the Tea Lace paper doilies. They will be replaced with similar new products though.

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop #80

Welcome from Annette’s blog.
This week we have a Colour Challenge.

This is what we had to work with:
This is what I came up with:
A different type of project this week. I have just ventured into the world of Bible Journaling and thought I would use this weeks colour challenge to motivate me with MY very first entry. I had seen so many beautiful projects on Pinterest that I decided that I wanted to have a go myself. I went to a class last Sunday and I have just gone on from there. It is a great way to record, in a creative way, the things that God is teaching me through his word.

I really should have done a base coat of Gesso before getting creative, but it hadn't arrived in time and I was a little impatient to get started, so the Stampin' Write markers did go through the paper. Never mind, I will just have to Gesso the back instead to cover it up. I used my large aqua painter with the Rose Red Stamp pad to do the base of watercolour, I then used my black Stampin' Write Marker to go over the text that I wrote first in lead pencil The Cotton Paper and Glassine sheets are great for adding die cuts to my Journaling bible without adding any extra bulk. I am really looking forward to doing more of these.
